A command of statistics is the cornerstone of the quality professional’s knowledge. It has become an indispensable tool used in virtually every manufacturing and academic discipline; therefore, some familiarity with statistical methods is essential for all of us.

This course is a continuation of the Quality Engineering Statistics series and is recommended for those students who are looking to improve their background in the field of statistics. This course will cover many topics in inferential statistics and will be useful to those pursuing ASQ certifications such as CQE, CRE, or Six Sigma belts. Work will be hands-on using real-world examples to illustrate the concepts under discussion. It is suggested that students take Quality Engineering Statistics I or have equivalent experience as a prerequisite.

This course will be presented in eight (8), 3-hour sessions, one session per week (24 hours total instruction).  There will be some homework assignments but no tests or quizzes will be given.  Bring a calculator capable of performing basic statistical functions.  We look forward to having you join us!
